AI4MED is a non-profit organization made up of a dynamic group of young people from various fields who are passionate about integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the medical field. Their goal is to promote dialogue and collaboration between AI enthusiasts and the medical community, including medical students, doctors, healthcare staff, and the general public. Its purpose is to spread information about AI in the healthcare industry and to debunk many of the myths surrounding it.
They invited Alicia Pose to give a talk during the scientific outreach event they prepared on October 3rd: Revolucionando la salud juntos. The talk she gave was titled: Ready Surgeon One: el futuro en el quirófano del presente. On it, she presented our work on AR for surgical navigation and planning using either tablets/smartphones or Microsoft HoloLens 2.
It was a complete success! We look forward to seeing more events like this in the future!
