Check out our last paper on Augmented Reality to improve surgical planning

Our paper on Real-time integration between Microsoft HoloLens 2 and 3D Slicer with demonstration in pedicle screw placement planning” has been published in the International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (IJCARS).

In it, we present a novel framework to send information in real time between Microsoft HoloLens 2 and 3D Slicer using the OpenIGTLink communication protocol. The system was tested for pedicle screw placement planning, showing very promising results.
